Conversations and visitor activity

Maivan does not create visitor activity histories or save chat transcripts. Conversations, personal watchlists, recent searches and preferences are kept in the open browser page’s memory. Refreshing or closing the page clears this state; preferences no longer carry over to a later visit. Previously saved Maivan browser preferences are removed when the updated site opens.

To answer a chat or hypothetical question, your message and a short conversation history are sent over HTTPS to Maivan’s server and locally hosted AI service for temporary processing in server memory. Private conversations and hypothetical Council responses are not added to the shared forecast record or operational backups. Avoid sending confidential or sensitive information.

Server safeguards

Stored application and request logs are disabled for Maivan’s application services. Chat messages, AI replies and visitor searches are not intentionally written to application logs. Shared capacity counters contain only aggregate request counts, without visitor identifiers, message text or browsing history. Public research data, application code and service availability checks can still be cached or backed up.

These measures reduce retained data; they do not guarantee that a device or server cannot be compromised. Hosting and network providers may process connection information under their own policies. Maivan cannot erase browser-managed history, screenshots, or information separately retained by those providers.

Brand Watch

Brand Watch sends the username you enter to selected public platforms from Maivan’s server. Results are unverified and do not establish ownership or impersonation. A running scan uses temporary server memory to deliver progress to your open page, protected by a random search key held in that page. Completed results are discarded by the server after delivery and are not reused for other visitors. Abandoned scans are cancelled and cleared by the next cleanup after one minute without polling. Results remain in your open page only, unless you choose to download a report to your device. Use this feature for company, brand or authorized account research.

Research and external content

Maivan combines public market, economic, government and world-event sources. Quotes may be delayed, sources may be unavailable, and AI forecasts and chat can be wrong. Verify material claims against the original reports. Maps, news streams, camera feeds, source links and public profile platforms connect to external providers with their own privacy practices. Maivan does not enable visitor analytics or advertising tracking.

Notifications

Browser notifications require your permission. Keep Maivan open for alerts; background phone push is not supported. Notification permissions are controlled by your browser and can be revoked in its settings.
